This website is a place to read about the practice. It does not collect personal information on its own. Here is what happens with your information when you use it, and where your privacy as a client is protected.
What this website collects
Nothing directly. There are no accounts, no forms, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking cookies on summitshorescounseling.com. Reading these pages does not send your name, email address, or anything about you to the practice.
Technical information
Like any website, this one is delivered by a hosting provider (Cloudflare). To serve pages and protect against abuse, the provider processes basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. The practice does not use that information to identify visitors.
The map on the location page
The location page includes an embedded Google Map so you can find the office. That map is loaded from Google, which may set cookies and receive your IP address when the page loads. Google’s handling of that information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Every other part of this site, including the fonts, is served from the practice’s own domain.
Contacting the practice
Appointment requests, the contact form, and the client portal all run inside SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant practice management platform. Anything you enter there goes to SimplePractice, not to this website, and is covered by the SimplePractice Privacy Policy and by the agreement SimplePractice holds with the practice to protect health information. Links to the portal open in a new tab so it is clear when you have left this site.
Your privacy as a client
How your health information is used and protected in treatment is governed by HIPAA and Florida and Colorado law, and is described in the Notice of Privacy Practices you receive when you begin care. That notice, not this page, is the document that covers your clinical records.
