I’m so glad you’re here! I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders as well as general mood issues and life adjustment concerns. I really enjoy working with young adults and young at heart adults of any age.
I believe that therapy works best in a collaborative setting where you and I can safely explore where you are feeling stuck. Through self-exploration, understanding your core values and reconnecting with your inherent wisdom we test out new patterns of being to move forward in an empowered manner.
It is my belief anyone can benefit from therapy at any life stage regardless of circumstance — let’s get started!
Areas of specialty
I have had the privilege of working with a wide array of clients dealing with concerns across the life spectrum. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, and also work with anxiety, depression, women’s issues, infertility, and pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns. I work with adults aged 18 and older, and I’m fortunate to have a strong network of fellow clinicians and am happy to provide referrals should the need arise.
Therapeutic approach
I draw from several modalities — interpersonal, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and solutions-focused work — and tailor my approach to what best matches the therapeutic needs of each individual.
- Acceptance & Commitment (ACT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Education & training
I received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After working in corporate America, I found my calling and returned to school for a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Since then I have worked with clients in a wide range of settings — from community mental health to hospital settings, undergraduate college counseling, and dedicated eating disorder treatment programs, including as a primary therapist in specialized eating disorder care. I look forward to making that range of experience available to you on your journey.
