Simple, transparent fees
Summit Shores is a private-pay practice. One straightforward session fee, no insurance paperwork, and your care stays between you and your therapist.

Private pay, on purpose
Summit Shores Counseling does not accept insurance. Paying privately means no diagnosis requirements for coverage, no session limits set by an insurer, and no treatment records shared with an insurance company — your therapy is shaped by what you need, not what a plan allows.
Questions about whether the investment makes sense for you are welcome on the free initial phone consultation.
How much does therapy cost without insurance?
At Summit Shores Counseling in Jacksonville Beach, a 50-minute psychotherapy session is $125–$150, paid privately. There are no hidden fees, memberships, or minimum commitments — and a free initial phone consultation comes before any charge, so you can gauge fit at no cost. For how this compares across the market, see Mandy’s article on what therapy costs without insurance in Florida.
Can I use out-of-network insurance benefits?
Some insurance plans — most often PPO plans — reimburse part of the cost of out-of-network outpatient mental health care. To find out, call the member-services number on your insurance card and ask about “out-of-network outpatient mental health” coverage: whether you have it, the reimbursement rate, and any deductible that applies. Reimbursement is between you and your insurer, and coverage varies by plan.
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate. Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your services may cost. Learn more at cms.gov/nosurprises, or ask about it when you get in touch.
